Roberto Dillon was born in 1973 in Genoa ( Italy ) and obtained his Master and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Engineering from the University of Genoa respectively in 1999 and 2004.
Both his M.Sc. and Ph.D. thesis focused on musical informatics and on the development of software modules for automatically recognizing, tracking and predicting expressivity in actual music playing.
He has worked as programmer analyst for the Elsag company (1999-2001), as freelancer recording engineer and as guest researcher at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm . He is currently a research fellow at the gameLAB - Nanyang Technological University in Singapore .
